BEVERLY AND ELIZABETH GLENN-COPELAND, CARTEL MADRAS, FRAUD PERRY, JULIANNA RIOLINO, OVERLAND and many more!
Lawnya Vawnya: An Exposition of Independent Art & Culture is a non-profit music and art festival that presents some of the most innovative independent music and art from local and national stages. Lawnya Vawnya returns this year with its fifteenth installment from June 4th to 7th, 2025 in Downtown St. John’s, Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland and Labrador).
We are pleased to host performances by out-of-province festival artists:
Prolific and iconic, BEVERLY AND ELIZABETH GLENN-COPELAND, come to St. John’s from Hamilton, ON to present moments from Glenn’s career spanning from the 70s to his newest album being released this summer, ‘The Ones Ahead’. CARTEL MADRAS, sisters raised in Calgary and known for their explosive and aggressive live performance style, will bring their experimental heady mix of trap, punk, and house to the NL stage. Described as the lovechild of Doja Cat, Rico Nasty, and Azealia Banks, Montreal’s FRAUD PERRY is one to watch. Pulling from punk, pop, and electronica to create a punchy, provocative spin on hip-hop that’s entirely her own. Performing her debut LP, ‘All Blue’, Ontario-based JULIANNA RIOLINO reflects on her own past, the memories of pain, healing, and love strewn through it. And BC-based DJ, OVERLAND joins Lawnya Vawnya directly off her European Tour.
Plus more LV performances from Absolute Losers (PEI), Andy and The Dannys (QC), CELL DETH (PEI), Durex (QC), Frankie Teardrop (QC), Laughing (QC), Liftkit (PEI), Mantourage (QC), Marc McLaughlin (NB), Marleana Moore (QC), Miesha and The Spanks (AB), Penny & the Pits (NB), and Sasha Cay (QC).
